Appeals to the High Court of Australia – Seeking leave
Appeals from the Court of Appeal to the High Court work in a similar way to appeals from the Supreme Court to the Court of Appeal in the sense that you must seek leave to appeal.
The High Court is the highest Court in Australia. Appeals to this Court are complex, technical and should always involve very experienced counsel.
It is very difficult to successfully appeal to the High Court of Australia but every case should be considered, dependent on its facts. Some cases need to be appealed in order to rectify a bad area of law.
Extremely complex
